What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Act as the primary liaison between the Security Operations Center (SOC) and other Product and Research teams
- Build automation to streamline SOC operations and reduce workload
- Triage, investigate, and respond to alerts from the Huntress platform
- Conduct forensic analysis to determine the root cause of attacks and provide remediation steps
- Mentor junior team members, facilitating their professional development
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 6+ years of experience in a SOC, Incident Response, or Forensics role
- Strong understanding of malware analysis and experience with Windows and/or macOS as attack surfaces
- Proven mentoring skills to support junior team members' growth
- Familiarity with threat actor tools and techniques, including the MITRE ATT&CK Framework
- Self-guided study experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, System Administration, or cybersecurity
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash
- Participation in cybersecurity competitions like Capture the Flag or the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition
- Familiarity with MSP tools and experience in an MSP/MSSP/MDR role
- Demonstrated experience on platforms like HackTheBox or TryHackMe
- Previous involvement in cybersecurity training or labs
