- A Master’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 5 years post-related experience. Or a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years post related experience.
- Proven experience in the leadership and management of a team of engineers;
- Recent practical experience in managing system/software engineering activities on large mission critical software intensive systems;
- Knowledge of system/software architectures, operating systems, deployment infrastructure and network concepts;
- Knowledge of system/software engineering related methods, techniques, metrics and tools;
- Knowledge of system/software development, maintenance, integration and deployment concepts;
- Knowledge of database management systems and data management concepts

About the job:
Based in The Hague, Netherlands you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. The Air Command and Control (AirC2) Business Area is tasked to build and support NATO’s AirC2 and BMD capabilities. This requires the support of a team of high performance technical experts to advise on and perform the required technical work to develop and maintain those capabilities.
We are now recruiting for a Principal Solution Engineer to join The Engineering functional group of AIRC2. The (FG) ensures that Air C2 capabilities and services are developed and delivered in line with agreed-upon process descriptions, tools, technical strategies, NATO policies, directives, architectures, standards and system engineering best practices and using common assets.
