      Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RI&S) Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Specialist to support the RI&S EHS Management Systems. We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual with experience in the efficiency and standardize EHS programs and processes across our business. This position is fast-paced and requires the ability to work with employees at all levels, including business and corporate leaders. This position will requires a candidate with a background in Lean, data analytics and use of business intelligence tools.

      The position will allow a remote or hybrid work arrangement.

      Design and deliver the training and tools to implement energy and greenhouse gas BMPs. This includes training slides, checklists, scorecards, and other resources for employees. Execute new tools and measure progress across functions at the site.

      Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of existing environmental programs and practices and make continual improvements. Promote alignment with RIS level strategy.

      Identify and mitigate environmental and other EH&S risks; analyze data to develop conclusions, trends and opportunities for improvement. Manage site environmental program compliance and interface with external regulators to mitigate all compliance risks.

      Provide leadership in developing site and RIS EH&S goals, metrics, policies, standards and processes, as well as ad-hoc support for other site EH&S programs such as ergonomics, safety, enterprise preparedness or asset protection.

      Prepare the site to meet EH&S requirements for upcoming internal and external audits including OSHA VPP, AS9100 and other internal company assessments.

      Required Skills:

      • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing comprehensive environmental programs.

      • Working knowledge and experience with federal, state and local environmental regulations

      • Experience diagnosing complex environmental compliance operations and issues, responding to environmental releases, and implement practical and effective solutions in a timely manner.

      • Experience using data analytics/business intelligence tools and creating dashboards

      • Effectively lead and interface with teams using Zoom meeting and Microsoft teams

      • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision and direction

      • Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills

      • Highly proficient using Microsoft office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project)

      • U.S. Citizenship is required as the position will require the ability to access US only data systems

      Desired Skills:

      • Experience with environmental and sustainability certifications such as ISO 14001, ISO 50001, LEED, TRUE Zero Waste.

      Required Education:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, Systems Safety, or Physical Sciences other technical degrees may be considered

      Desired Education:

      • Master’s degree in Engineering, Safety, Systems Safety, Business or physical sciences, other technical degrees may be considered
