      Salary is determined on directly related experience supported by a service record or experience affidavit. Annualized pay may be pro-rated based on actual start date.

      Position Summary

      The Principal serves as the instructional and operational leader of the campus, responsible for the overall management of school activities and the implementation of district policies. This role ensures the delivery of a rigorous and engaging academic program that promotes high levels of student achievement and instructional excellence. The Principal fosters a safe and collaborative learning environment that supports continuous improvement and academic success for all students. Key responsibilities include leading campus operations, supporting staff development, maintaining student discipline, overseeing instructional programs, and actively engaging with families and the broader school community to strengthen partnerships and promote a shared vision for student success.

      Minimum Requirements

      • Master’s degree in education administration.
      • Texas principal or equivalent certification.
      • Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser.
      • Three (3) years’ experience in school leadership or instructional leadership roles.
      • Must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the candidate.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Five (5) years’ experience in school leadership or instructional leadership roles.

      • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
      • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive relationships with students, families, staff, community members, and business partners.
      • Proven ability to clearly articulate the school’s mission, engage stakeholders, and cultivate community support to advance shared goals.
      • Comprehensive understanding of the Texas Accountability System, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of performance data.
      • Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to think critically, act independently, and resolve conflicts constructively with all stakeholders.
      • Ability to assess instructional programs and teacher performance using data-driven analysis to inform improvements and drive student achievement.
      • Proficient in managing campus budgets and personnel, ensuring alignment of resources with instructional goals.

      Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities

      • Supervise and coordinate all campus operations, programs, and personnel to ensure a safe, supportive, and productive learning environment.
      • Monitor instructional and operational processes to ensure alignment with program goals; analyze outcomes and implement corrective action, as needed.
      • Conduct classroom observations and provide actionable, constructive feedback to improve instructional effectiveness. Offer instructional resources and support to help teachers meet academic goals.
      • Evaluate non-instructional staff performance to ensure operational excellence and support professional growth.
      • Collaborate with district and campus teams to plan, implement, and supervise instructional programs.
      • Foster a shared vision for school improvement and student success; lead strategic planning and implementation aligned with the school’s mission.
      • Use research-based practices and data analysis to drive continuous school improvement.
      • Develop, manage, and utilize data systems to track progress toward campus goals and support alignment with district long-range planning.
      • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the Texas Accountability System to ensure compliance and timely, accurate reporting of performance data.
      • Communicate and reinforce high expectations for student achievement and staff performance.
      • Ensure consistent enforcement of school rules and maintain equitable, appropriate student discipline in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
      • Facilitate conferences with parents, students, teachers, and staff to address academic, behavioral, and school-related concerns.
      • Lead the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new staff members.
      • Provide input and make recommendations regarding personnel decisions, including placement, transfer, retention, promotion, and dismissal.
      • Develop and manage the campus budget based on documented needs, projected enrollment, and fiscal priorities; ensure compliance and fiscal responsibility.
      • Oversee the use and maintenance of school facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and well-functioning campus environment.
      • Ensure compliance with all applicable state, district, and campus policies, including UIL regulations, attendance procedures, and confidentiality standards.
      • Comply with all district routines and regulations.
      • Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the scope and responsibilities of the position.

      Working Conditions

      Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including personal computer and peripherals.

      Posture: Frequent sitting and standing; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.

      Motion: Repetitive hand motions, including frequent keyboarding/use of mouse; occasional reaching.

      Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); occasional physical restraint of students to control behavior.

      Supervisory Responsibilities

      • Supervises and evaluates the performance of professional and support staff assigned to the campus.
