- Strategically plan and oversee requests for support, emergency materials, graphics, advertisements, and special events across MDOT MTA departments and external agencies.
- Streamline jobs, Local 2 Employees, and department workflows to optimize efficiency and meet stringent customer deadlines.
- Provide strategic oversight of the maintenance and procurement of all Print Services Equipment, substrates, materials, and consumables.
- Develop and execute schedules for preventative and corrective maintenance of Print Services equipment.
- Act as a representative at senior management meetings, contributing to strategic discussions.
- Efficiently coordinate, oversee, and schedule projects with internal and external clients and vendors.
- Facilitate seamless communication and provide requested information to various departments through designated forms.
- Lead, coordinate, and oversee scheduled, unscheduled, and specialty projects for MDOT/MTA and external agencies.
- Spearhead the creation, implementation, and management of new and revised policies, procedures, and contracts regarding MDOT MTA, Print Services, and Local 2 CBA.
- Provide astute oversight of budget expenditures, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Monitor expenditures, authorize payment of invoices, and actively contribute to contract management and performance.
- Lead, train, and conduct performance evaluations for the team.
- Assign work, coach and/or counsel, inspect work, and actively participate in decisions related to hiring, termination, discipline, and leave approval.

As the Print Services Superintendent at MDOT MTA, you will assume a leadership role in the coordination, oversight, and management of comprehensive print-related services and projects. Your responsibilities will encompass strategic project planning, equipment maintenance, effective communication, and meticulous budget management.

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.Experience: Six years of experience in administrative staff or professional work.*Selective Qualifications*
Selective Qualifications are utilized when the position requires specific or bona-fide occupational qualifications (i.e., knowledge, skills, or abilities).
*Three years’ experience in a Print Services Supervisory role with managing and/or planning graphic, digital, copy, or printing projects in a print/graphics shop environment and extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and prepress is a must.*
Notes:1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience.2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.3. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle.
