What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the primary healthcare access representative for patients and providers
- Pre-register patients and schedule appointments using the applicable program
- Verify medical necessity and ensure the accuracy of patient information
- Assist healthcare professionals and patients to create an ideal patient encounter
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of one (1) year of medical front office experience, preferably in an acute healthcare system
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in verbal communication and customer relations
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience as a Medical Assistant
- Proficiency in EMR and data entry
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions
- Familiarity with clerical tasks in a healthcare setting
