Job Description

- Create and maintain a positive and professional environment while coordinating and reporting privacy incidents and assigned tasks.
- Deliver response to events within a timely manner in conjunction with contractual requirements.
- Work with appropriate subject matter experts for incident, policy and audit evaluation as needed, including, but not limited to, Legal, Security, Operations, and Customer Service teams.
- Partner with Compliance and HIM to identify training and development needs.
- Proactively work with the Privacy Officer and Manager to identify and resolve problems.
- Review and update policies and procedures as needed.
- Perform audits for relevant Privacy issues.
- Participate in Risk Management activities.
- Create high quality deliverables in response to disclosure incidents.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of college and experience.
- Three years’ experience in healthcare and/or privacy.
- Release of Information experience preferred.
- High energy, enthusiastic, cooperative work style.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with computer systems
The Privacy Analyst, under the supervision of the Privacy Officer and Privacy Manager, supports all aspects of MRO’s privacy program. The analyst is responsible for the review and analysis of potential disclosure incidents, completing necessary research, and preparing appropriate responses. The analyst will be responsible for fulfilling duties in the Privacy department, which may include, but are not limited to audits, functions, fraud review, risk assessments, policy review, and the review of Privacy regulations.
