      Private Client Service Consultant

      Aon South Africa is hiring a Private Client Service Consultant; this is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Pretoria office.

      The role of the private client service consultant, as the primary point of contact with clients, is to manage and grow and administer a portfolio of high-net-worth clients in line with the MOS and company growth strategies.

      What the day will look like

      As a Private Client Service Consultant, your responsibilities include:

      • Determining and understanding the needs of high-net-worth individuals in respect of short-term insurance.
      • Building and maintaining relationships with the existing client base.
      • Building and maintaining relationships with the new clients as they are allocated to the portfolio.
      • Maintaining extensive client servicing via frequent client contact.
      • Maintenance of comprehensive servicing of client policies, including renewals, general endorsements, premium queries, premium collections, rejections in lie with the MOS and underwriting criteria.
      • Providing professional and accurate advice with regards to cover needs, policy conditions and exclusions where vital.
      • Upsell Homeowners cover on existing business.
      • Growing revenue on existing client base.
      • Negotiating cover and rates with insurers on behalf of clients.
      • Ensuring that allocated portfolio runs profitably by adhering strictly to the underwriting criteria.
      • Claims liaison including assisting clients with first notification of loss.
      • Liaising and developing relationships with colleagues across the business and other key role players in the High-Net-Worth environment.
      • Responsible for compliant dealing with clients.
      • Responsible for engaging in business development and/or contributing directly or indirectly to all business development efforts in Aon South Africa.

      Skills and experience that will lead to success

      Qualifications

      • Grade 12 (Matric).
      • A relevant bachelor's degree.
      • A relevant tertiary insurance related qualification would be preferable.
      • Registration as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act.

      Knowledge

      • Extensive knowledge and understanding of all aspects of personal insurance.
      • Knowledge of market trends within the insurance industry.
      • Knowledge of competitor products.
      • Sophisticated knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
      • Fluency in Afrikaans is advantageous.

      Skills and Attributes

      • Well-developed team functioning skills.
      • Good interpersonal relationships.
      • Advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
      • Well-developed decision-making skills.
      • Well-developed ability to work in ad with teams.

      Experience

      • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar or related role.
      • Experience in dealing with the high-net-worth client is preferred.
