      UMB’s Private Wealth Management internship program is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of its product and service offering through an educational and structured approach. Interns will gain working knowledge on the various lines of business, including but not limited to, investment management, trust and lifestyle management, financial planning and overall financial advice delivery and will be challenged to demonstrate and apply that knowledge throughout the program. The internship program aims to provide participants with a well-rounded understanding of the private wealth industry while cultivating their research, analytic, and interpersonal skills.

      This internship runs from May to September 2024

      How you will spend your time:

      • Participate in various departmental rotations; meeting with experienced advisors for direct exposure and insight into Sales and Delivery, Trust Administration, Investment Management and Financial Planning
      • Gain insight into business drivers, approach to managing portfolios and investment documentation, identifying industry trends, and best risk management practices
      • Understand the various elements of trust and estate administration
      • Gain in depth financial planning knowledge and apply that through the creation and delivery of a financial plan.
      • Attend various meetings to be exposed to all lines of businesses within UMB
      • group and individual projects as assigned
      • Adhoc responsibilities

      We are excited to speak with you if:

      • Have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate education focused in business, finance, accounting, financial planning or any related major
      • Demonstrated strong academic performance of at least a 2.5 overall GPA
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Demonstrated initiative both independently and within a team
      • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and Word

      Compensation Range:

      Minimum: $26,985.00 - Mid Point: $35,963.00

      The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
