      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Perform initial and follow-up reviews of patient records to assign diagnoses and procedures for accurate DRG assignment
      - Query physicians regarding missing or unclear documentation to ensure accurate health records
      - Educate healthcare providers on clinical documentation improvement and compliance guidelines
      - Collaborate with coding professionals to reconcile DRG assignments and resolve discrepancies
      - Conduct independent research to enhance knowledge of coding guidelines and healthcare policies

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, PA, NP, or medical school, or Associate's degree with CCDS certification
      - Minimum two years of experience in an acute care setting or relevant experience
      - Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS), or equivalent licensure as a PA, physician, or RN in respective states
      - Strong understanding of complications, comorbidities, and their impact on documentation
      - Ability to maintain productivity levels while ensuring accuracy in documentation

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in clinical documentation improvement or related fields
      - Familiarity with healthcare coding guidelines and regulations
      - Continuing education in clinical topics or healthcare economics
      - Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams
      - Ability to work independently and proactively troubleshoot documentation issues
