This full-time position is located in the Juvenile Court Department.
This position requires working a flexible schedule and some evenings.
This posting will fill multiple vacancies and one position will be a grant funded temporary position.Provides probationary supervision for a caseload of offenders; reviews court records and court orders: determines obligations of offenders; conducts intake interviews; collects and records case intake data; obtained school records and obtains family social history; explains conditions of probation and related programs and the consequences of probation violation; performs drug screening; maintains regular communication with probationers and closes cases or discharges probationers from supervision per case time limit.
Formulates case plans for; establishes goals and sanctions; secures court ordered or sanctioned services with partnering agencies; monitors compliance with completion of
Performs court officer/reporter duties: schedules, prepares, and presents cases within mandated time limits; provides notification to prepares and executes subpoenas, summonses, and other legal documents; provides testimony in court; conducts case related research; and makes recommendation for dispensation of cases. warrants, violation of probation, dismissals, tolls, etc.
Identifies community resources designed to meet the needs of probationer.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Criminal Justice, Social Work, or related field required; supplemented by one year of experience in probation case management, criminal justice or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
May require a valid driver's license.Tasks require the ability to exert very moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (12-20 pounds).

Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
