      Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is looking for Process and Industrial Engineer - Segment 2 to join our team at site at Hull- Alexandra.

      As a Process and Industrial Engineer, you will be working with development of new and improvement of existing packing, service and casting processes in wind turbine blade production including preassembly and introduction of equipment. You will be supporting the factory everyday production and ensuring standardized production across the factory through documentation and support. You will be developing processes for new projects, equipment and develop documentation for the production processes (work instruction, P-FMEA and risk assessments).

      Collaborating with our global team, based in Denmark, to improve and implement processes and equipment related to blade manufacturing. As a process and Industrial Engineer;

      Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to

      • Your main focus areas will be to develop the right solutions for process and equipment in blade manufacturing and to lead implementation and standardization of manufacturing processes and equipment

      • Responsible for the development and specification of equipment and processes

      • Responsible for validation and qualification of equipment, materials and processes.

      • Supporting root cause analysis

      • Ensuring Best Practice sharing across shifts and plants.

      • Collaborating with global functions, suppliers and contractors.

      • Collaborating with other internal departments e.g. the technology department and the quality department

      • Responsible for documentation of processes and equipment in collaboration with the documentation department and global functions.

      • Definition of process specifications and associated control parameters.

      • Coordinate the development and deployment of new pre-manufacturing processes as necessary to support the manufacturing area.

      • Initiate and support LEAN projects

      • Plan processes, workflow, and risk evaluation measures to maintain optimum and safe utilisation of plant resources

      • Anticipate issues with process and material implementation and provide timely feedback and information to employees as appropriate

      • Create necessary reports to communicate to peers and management

      The role will require supporting production during out of hours through a rota’ d On-Call system.

      About you

      You have worked with production processes and hold an engineering degree or have significant experience from similar position.

      It is an advantage if you have industry experience and experience with composites.

      It is important that you possess knowledge in adhesive technologies and materials and must be familiar with Risk assessment and PFMEA.

      You have a structured approach to your work and can handle simultaneous assignments without losing overview and have a hand-on approach to problems. You possess the ability to both work independently and in teams and you have great English skills both orally and in writing.

      You should encourage feedback, listening and challenging in an open team environment that supports innovation and learning even in the face of mistakes or when difficult issues arise.

      What you need to make a difference

      • Focus on health and safety is essential

      • Degree qualified in Production/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or significant experience.

      • Experience directly related in designing and improving work processes in a manufacturing environment

      • Experience in working in production environments.

      • Experience with SPC – statistical process control is desired.

      • Strong knowledge in MS Office Suite, including Excel, and PowerPoint.

      • An understanding or experience of Lean Manufacturing processes.

      • Experience of creating work instructions, risk assessments and technical documentation.

      • Experience of specifying and introducing new equipment.

      • Excellent team player with good communication skills.
