      Location: Clitheroe, UK

      Your goal / purpose will be to deliver Process Safety improvements, Plant modifications/ improvement projects, Commissioning of Capex projects and be involved in plant trials that deliver improved products and processes. Your success will contribute to the effective delivery of CT projects.

      As the Process Engineer you will be part of the Operations Process Improvement group and you will work as part of a team that will deliver the following:

      • Process Safety improvements
      • Plant modifications/ improvement projects
      • Investigations into any shortcomings in Safety, Quality, Delivery or Cost
      • Commissioning of Capex projects
      • Identification and critique of Capex projects to ensure successful project benefits are realised.
      • Plant trials that deliver improved products and processes

      Catalyst Technologies (CT), a business within our Efficient Natural Resources sector, is a market leader in the syngas value chain.       Your responsibilities:

      • To contribute to the site wide Process Safety Programme including Process Hazard Reviews (preparation, contribution, action follow up), Relief Stream checking/updates, SIL/LOPA studies etc.
      • To manage modifications using the site Management of Change system that will improve Safety, Quality, Delivery or Cost
      • To identify potential Capital projects and give technical and operating advice on designs to the Project Development Team
      • To apply detailed technical understanding and experience in support of production teams in the understanding of more complex, less easily understood process problems and contribute to the development of the basic operational knowledge of the production teams by providing understanding of the principles of product application and processes.
      • To carry out any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

      Requirements for the role:

      • Degree in Chemical Engineering
      • Experience in the process industry
      • Knowledge of material, process equipment and plants- learns & uses knowledge for manufacturing innovation.
      • Planning and organising for project delivery- champions change & development plans, steers project delivery.
      • Design, installation and commissioning of new equipment- Leads design & technical commissioning of new plant or large complex equipment.
      • Problem solving/ handling and interpreting information/ design of experiments- Leads and guides groups for the resolution of complex manufacturing processes or operating equipment issues.
