      OVERVIEW

      Merrick & Company is hiring a Process Engineer I to join our Energy, Manufacturing & Bioprocessing team in Greenwood Village, CO. Local candidates only.

      Annual salary range for this position is $72,300.00 - $88,300.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.


      WHAT YOU'LL DO

      As a Process Engineer at Merrick, you will work primarily on energy and industrial biotechnology projects, working within a small, multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers to execute engineering projects. This engineer will:

      • Analyze equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine appropriate designs.
        • Prepare process design deliverables including:
        • Process Flow Diagrams
        • Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams
        • Orifice and equipment sizing calculations
        • Process line sizing calculations
        • Equipment and Instrument datasheets
      • Vendor coordination for selection of instrumentation and equipment.
      • Review and check the work of other process engineers.
      • Coordinate design inputs and design activities with other engineering disciplines in a team environment.

      REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

      • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from an ABET accredited program.
      • Two (2) to five (5) years of related engineering experience.

      DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

      • Fundamentals of Engineering / Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
      • Experience with the following software:
        • Aspen Hysys and/or Aspen Plus
        • Intelligen, SuperPro, and/or SchedulePro
        • AFT Arrow
        • AFT Fathom
        • Mathcad
