      As an Associate Research Development Process Engineer, you will be working across multiple disciplines, including robotics, fluid handling, and embedded software, in a fast-paced research and development environment. You'll be hands-on with our printing technology, helping us scale and improve our processes for printing customer parts.

      Primary Duties and Responsibilities

      • Investigate our complex, multi-physics system to gain a fundamental understanding of the system and use learnings to improve our printing methods and processes
      • Work alongside an interdisciplinary team of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to analyze in-situ data, as well as post-print material characteristics and rapidly iterate on improving the printing technology
      • Collect, analyze, and report on printer test data
      • Generate and track quality metrics of printed parts, including but not limited to dimensional accuracy, thermal conductivity, and surface roughness
      • Assist with supervision of other members of technical staff, e.g. technicians and operators, and with the planning and reporting on technical progress

      Required Skills and Experience

      • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Computer Engineering; Computer Science; Physics; or a relevant engineering or science field
      • 1+ year of relevant industry or professional experience, especially in Engineering
      • 1+ year of proven experience developing software in Python, especially for data analysis
      • Experience with electrical testing and troubleshooting, e.g. use of multimeters and oscilloscopes

      Preferred Skills and Experience

      • Experience with 3D printers and other additive manufacturing techniques

      Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications. The expected salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000 annually.
