      Join JLR at the cutting edge of automotive innovation within our dynamic PTME Battery Assembly team, where you'll help shape the future of electrified mobility. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of electrification, developing and implementing world-class manufacturing processes and facilities using state-of-the-art technologies. Collaborating closely with Product Development and suppliers, you will play a key role in ensuring our battery systems meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and technological excellence.

      WHAT TO EXPECT

      In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality outcomes and supporting the wider team through a range of responsibilities, including;

      • Develop and implement safe, high-quality, and cost-effective assembly and in-process test solutions
      • Plan and manage installation timing with suppliers, ensuring seamless integration
      • Conduct robust process planning, including build simulations and PFMEAs
      • Verify assembly processes and equipment both at supplier sites and in-house
      • Ensure product design feasibility aligns with modern assembly and test requirements
      • Create and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, jigs, and fixtures
      • Support new model planning, technical issue resolution, and equipment capability targets

      WHAT YOU'LL NEED

      The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, proactive in resolving issues, and resilient in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. They’ll be a strong communicator, a collaborative team player, and well-organised in addition to the following skills;

      • Proven experience in manufacturing or engineering processes, tools, and techniques
      • Practical, hands-on engineering approach with strong problem-solving skills
      • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills and experience in volume manufacturing
      • Skilled in facility installation, project management, commissioning, and product launch
      • Proficient in CAD tools (e.g. Catia V6, Teamcenter) and MS Office applications
      • Ability to work cross-functionally from concept through to launch in a fast-paced environment
      • Degree or HNC/HND in Manufacturing Systems or similar discipline preferred; relevant experience considered
