      Your responsibilities

      We are looking for an individual with experience in Process Engineering with an emphasis on supporting the development of Uniper’s low carbon projects and products including hydrogen, CCS/CCU and biomass processing. As well as practical experience in this technology area, you will be expected to have some familiarity with process modelling packages (such as Promax or Aspen) and able to complete work independently.

      You will work alongside a team of fellow technical and engineering specialists in developing Uniper’s low carbon projects and projects we are implementing for others.

      Responsibilities

      To provide expertise in Chemical/Process aspects for a variety of new low carbon energy projects. Whilst expertise is not expected in all of the following technologies, the candidate should have some familiarity with more than one of:

      • post-combustion carbon capture
      • pre-combustion carbon capture
      • hydrogen production (blue and green)
      • biogas (or other biofuel) production
      • “Green” molecule production
      • greenhouse gas removal technologies
      • To support the business in representing Uniper in collaboration with other companies, regulating authorities and other third parties in the low carbon energy arena.

      Your profile


      Essential

      • Degree or Masters in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (although candidates with relevant technical skills, but holding degrees in other subjects may be considered)
      • Working toward full membership of an appropriate professional institution (such as the IChemE, RSC or similar)
      • Ability to work effectively and flexibly as a member of a team and across teams.
      • Commercially aware & understands the environment in which they operate, including wider business capabilities and requirements.
      • Ability to co-ordinate work across multi-disciplinary teams.


      Desirable

      • Ability to speak another language.
