      We are currently seeking an experienced Process Engineer who is comfortable working in medium-heavy manufacturing. The Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, improving and implementing new and existing manufacturing process to support best practices in the manufacturing process.

      Summary of Primary Duties:

      • Monitor and evaluate key production indicators.
      • Formulate and execute improvement plans.
      • Maintain all process guidelines.
      • Root cause analysis of process issues / product defects.
      • Maintain first-hand knowledge of daily performance of assigned processes.
      • Evaluate and recommend new equipment for all phases of processing.
      • Commission all new equipment installed for manufacturing.
      • Seek ways to reduce manufacturing cost.
      • Help with process and product development.
      • Provide 24/7 coverage as required on process related issues. (i.e. on
        call)

      Specific Skills/Training Required:

      • Outstanding ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with shop floor associates, peers and upper management.
      • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving abilities.
      • Technical writing.

      • Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access).
      • Computer literate.
      • Extrusion process knowledge including all associated equipment.
      • Function in a team environment.
      • Ability to work under minimal supervision.

      • Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, SCADA and SPC will be considered an asset.
      • Hazardous Waste Training will be considered an asset.

      Education/Experience Required:

      BS degree Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Chemical/Polymer or Electrical
      Engineering
      Two to four years’ experience in manufacturing environment (in extrusion
      process)
