Look no further than this engineering opportunity at our Sarnia refinery where you will be accountable for providing engineering support to operations and maintenance to ensure the overall process integrity, safety and cost effective operation of the existing assets.

      Minimum Requirements:

      • Five or more years of experience in refining or a related field
      • Professional Engineering Designation
      • Undergraduate Degree in Chemical Engineering
      • Ability to apply professional knowledge in initiating and/or conducting complex assignments requiring modification of established guidelines and procedures with proven ability to analyze, define, and solve problems
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
      • Possess a deep understanding of refinery processes to make sound recommendations for process safety corrective actions
      • Highly motivated, resourceful, resilient and committed to continuous improvement

      Responsibilities:

      • Performing engineering calculations and simulations required to address process equipment or unit performance problems with a continuous improvement mindset
      • Oversees and/or participates in reviews of new projects or proposed changes to refinery equipment and procedures
      • Craft scoping studies and design basis memorandums outlining recommendations for improvement by applying applicable engineering standards
      • Calculate the economic justification for capital project options
      • Participates in hazard reviews for projects
      • Provide technical assistance to operations for specialized activities
      • Build positive relationships to coordinate special activities to assist operations such as catalyst changes

      Location and other Key Details:

      • You will work out of our Sarnia refinery in Ontario, located at 1900 St. Clair Parkway
      • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
