- Delivers, executes, and sustains process improvement (PI) engagements including kaizen under the guidance of more senior team members by leveraging the appropriate methods and tools to ensure the development of stakeholder capabilities for process change and improvement; applying data-driven PI principles, tools, and problem-solving methods including Lean/Six Sigma concepts and techniques; assisting in the development of high performance team capabilities to achieve real time business results; and developing process architecture and recommendation documents, including presentations, process maps, supporting metrics, business requirements and related impact analyses.
- Serves as a junior consultant to stakeholders and process owners by providing consultation to stakeholders and teams to drive process improvements; assisting in the development of management systems to sustain process changes; supporting the development of stakeholder process improvement leadership competencies; and providing training and guidance to stakeholders.
- Serves as an advocate for continuous improvement by building a working knowledge of industry practices, standards, and benchmarks; attending and participating in roadshows and conferences; supporting the ongoing enhancement of process improvement practices, standards, and methods across KP; and serving as an advocate to ensure continuous learning and improvement is championed as a people strategy.
- Participates in change management activities associated with process improvement by engaging stakeholders to obtain support and buy in for changes; using appropriate change management methods and approaches; and ensuring stakeholders understand initiative intent and purpose.
- Performs data analyses to support process improvement initiatives by using appropriate data analysis tools and approaches to assess system or process performance; leveraging suitable data gathering and analysis methods (e.g., process observation, hard data, etc.); and conducting analyses and performing experimental tests.
The Performance Improvement Consultant will facilitate and manage performance improvement initiatives to achieve strategic objectives within the Panorama City Medical Center. The role will support teaching and coaching of performance improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement skills) to project teams and others as needed.
