      This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.

      Job Purpose and Impact

      As a Process Improvement Engineer, your primary mission is to drive process improvements across multiple facilities, including a refinery, a vegetable oil biodiesel plant, and a waste-based biodiesel plant. You’ll be working in a multi-skilled, integrated team to identify inefficiencies, implement solutions, and sustain improvements

      Key Accountabilities

      • Directly provide updates on the project objectives, performance measures, issues and risks to senior staff.
      • Identify, monitor, and implement continuous improvement best practices.
      • Develop and handle continuous improvement plans for projects with low to medium cost and risk in order to reach and sustain project goals.
      • Conduct organization readiness assessments, value realization, opportunity prioritization, resource evaluation and execute continuous improvement strategies that meet business requirements.
      • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
      • A results-driven Continuous Improvement Specialist with a strong mechanical and reliability engineering background. Experienced in collaborating closely with reliability departments to reduce emergency losses and enhance equipment uptime. Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects in refinery and biodiesel operations, applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive sustainable process and asset improvements.

      Qualifications

      Minimum Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
      • Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
