  General Purpose and Scope of Position:

The Process Management Engineer is responsible for Nachurs Alpine Solutions and Wilbur-Ellis facilities in a region and providing them with process management support and guidance. This role works in conjunction with the EHSS team and other support departments to promote and deliver safety and operational expertise to facilities.

  Key Skills and Abilities Include:

  • 7+ years of experience in plant operations or process management/engineering, emphasis on safety and environmental
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Experience evaluating and controlling risk in chemical manufacturing sites
  • Must have experience with OSHA PSM implementation and execution at the plant level
  • Fundamental knowledge of chemical process design and equipment
  • Experience with PSM requirements for design, training, and operations procedures
  • Advanced proficiency with PHA AND HAZOP execution, preferably as lead facilitator
  • Ability to travel up to 35% within the United States

  Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:

  • Identify and effectively communicate critical Safety and Environmental issues
  • Conduct risk assessments. Conduct PHA and HAZOP exercises
  • Conduct workplace safety inspections
  • Reviews process designs, P&IDs, and procedures for safety and environmental risks
  • Works with Operations and Engineering to develop OSHA PSM-compliant procedures, documentation, and training programs
  • Provide compliance advice re: U.S. Dept. of Labor and State regulations, US EPA, and State Environmental regulations/permits
  • Facilitate Environmental Permit maintenance and development of permits for new process implementation. Works closely with contract environmental consultants, legal resources, and site management.
  • Assist in the planning and development of educational and training materials
  • Assist with the preparation of annual environmental reports
  • Lead OSHA PSM IMPLEMENTATION for St. Gabriel site

  Compensation and Benefits:

  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $108,000 to $152,000. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
