      This position is responsible for staging, allocating, and blending batches.

      • Accurately weigh and measure ingredients according to batch specifications. Set up ingredients (including powders, drums, and totes) for making batches and add powder to the blenders at the appropriate time according to a recipe.
      • Prepare and stage ingredients for mix batching. Verify labels and allergens when setting up batches. Weigh each ingredient according to batch specifications and record actual usage on batch sheets. Manually add ingredients to liquid in lanco blender following the correct sequencing.
      • Perform daily forklift checks and operate forklift for transporting materials. Follow all appropriate allergen storage standards when storing and handling ingredients. Maintain a clean and organized ingredient storage area and staging area.
      • Clean, disassemble, and reassemble equipment. Perform sanitation activities within the blender room, powder room, and ingredient staging area. Complete other general housekeeping activities as needed.
      • Accurately record actual use of ingredients and enter inventory information into Oracle for end-of-run inventory reconciliation. Research and communicate any inventory discrepancies and errors to the appropriate parties.
      • Exhibit strong individual responsibility towards the delivery of team metrics relating to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Comply with all GMP policies including handwashing, hair nets, and proper documentation on batching and sanitation paperwork. Follow all Food Safety, PPE, and Safety policies when carrying out work duties.

      Qualifications

      • Experience handling or processing ingredients is preferred
      • Must have basic computer knowledge.
      • Able to understand hand clamp hook-ups and product flow.
      • Recalls details of procedures and training and consistently follows established methods in task completion.
      • Must be able to provide accurate measurements
      • Communication with drivers and understand purchase orders.
