You'll collaborate directly with senior process mechanical designers, contributing to multi-discipline designs for facilities predominantly dedicated to serving the water and wastewater sectors.       Working under the guidance of design experts, you'll create BIM designs using Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit software. You'll collaborate closely with a team of senior process mechanical designers, contributing to design coordination across multidisciplinary models. Our preferred candidate will possess some background in coordinating designs across various disciplines and be enthusiastic about mastering the creation of plans and sections to convey engineering designs effectively. Project responsibilities entail crafting P&IDs, arranging equipment layouts, designing process piping and utility systems, creating contract drawings, conducting field investigations, and providing construction support.

      Responsibilities:

      • Execute work on wastewater and water utilities and industrial facilities including treatment plant, pumping station, and bio-system facility planning and design.
      • Annotate contract drawings and address redline mark-ups.
      • Understand information required for development of bid-ready drawings.
      • Maintain graphic quality of projects across all disciplines.
      • Interact frequently and effectively with Designers, Content Development team, BIM Production team, Engineers and other project team members.
      • Perform designer level duties with minimal input from Engineers.
      • Working knowledge of design industry workflows, production cycle and priorities.
      • Mentoring junior designers.
      • Workflow and document writing.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • 5-10 years of experience in municipal and/or industrial projects.
      • Experience with BIM design using Revit a must.
      • Experience with BIM design using AutoCAD a must.
      • Experience in 3D modeling, drawing production and associated workflows.
      • Good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and verbally.
      • High level of communication and strong writing skills.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience with BIM 360 / ACC a plus.
      • Experience with BIM design using OpenPlant a plus.
      • Supervisor experience a plus.

      Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
