- Ensure the assigned site always stays in compliance with SNF Corporate PSM Policies and Procedures
- Act as day-to-day contact for PSM for plants/sites assigned
- Coordinate/Administer MOC program for the site
- Conduct (or participate in) Contractor field audits
- Ensure Process Safety Information for both process and equipment files are maintained and available
- Research and learning about relevant industry codes and standards
- Participate in Incident Investigations related to process safety at the site
- Act as site representative for safety-related audits/inspections, both internal and external
- Conduct internal audits of site activities related to Employee Participation, Operating Procedures, and Training
- Coordinate site PSM schedule to ensure PHAs and Audits are scheduled and conducted on time
- Coordinate and participate in all HazOps for the site
- Coordinate and participate in Dust Hazard Analysis for combustible dust for plants/sites assigned
- Participate in knowledge sharing with other sites' Process Safety Specialists to share best practices
- Report on PSM/RMP program activities to management
- Use and continue to develop the software used to administer portions of the PSM/RMP program
- B.S. in Engineering or related scientific/technical degree (chemistry, biology, environmental science, etc.)
- In the absence of a degree, relevant job experience will be considered
- CCPSC certification is a plus
- Process Safety Practice Certificate – Mary K O’Connor
- CSP certification is a plus
- 0 - 5 years of plant experience in an industrial setting
- Excellent organizational skills and capability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong communication skills
- Become proficient in VelocityEHS (EHS EMS Software) and ABS Leader (PHA Leader Software) user

SUMMARY:
The Process Safety Specialist I will work in a small team collaborating with multiple parties to handle process safety issues at a production site. The Process Safety Specialist must work in and have working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119, as well as 40 CFR 68 (RMP). The Process Safety Specialist will work directly under the supervision of either the Process Safety Manager or a Senior Process Safety Specialist and take steps needed to develop a more in-depth knowledge of PSM regulatory requirements.
