      Job Description

      • A non-exhaustive list of detailed activities you will manage, or you will be involved in, is:
      • Clarification of client’s technical problematics and Basis of Design / Scope of Work definition
      • LNG plants & cryogenic processes modeling using commercial software or in-house software
      • Processes optimization (e.g. energy efficiency, production maximization, GHG reduction) with consideration of equipment technology limitations, impacts on licensed processes and cost
      • Develop process flowsheets (e.g. PFD's - process flow diagram) and equipment list
      • Equipment and piping preliminary sizing
      • Validate or contribute to the process studies document development: specifications, studies report, technical offers comparison
      • Review and validate process documentation issued by the Contractors. Participate or lead technical reviews (Project Reviews, PFD/P&ID reviews, HAZID / ENVID / HAZOP 3D model reviews, Technology Qualifications...)
      • Lead complex studies performed within the Company or outsourced


      Responsibilites

      • An LNG & Cryogenics Engineer who will be actively involved in the engineering support of the LNG plant activities. Main role will be:
      to support the new projects development by participating in the elaboration of overall plant process schemes,
      1. to provide technical assistance for ongoing projects and assets in operation,
      2. to participate in scouting and qualification of new technologies.
      3. In addition, and considering the transversality of the activities handled by the LNG & Cryogenics process entity, you will also:
      4. be involved in inter-branches studies (Technical Services, Maintenance, Operations) for specific cryogenic process support.
      5. perform, lead, or validate process studies from prospects studies.
      6. provide support for Projects in FEED or EPC phases.
      7. be involved in support to Operation assistances on the assets of the different branches.
      8. collect and formalize technical feedback from the assets either operated by BHE GTS or by others, develop and formalize internal know-how, interface with BHE GTS entities for subjects related to LNG and other cryogenics applications.




      Requirements

      REQUIREMENTS

      • Chemical engineering or petroleum engineering degree
      • Broad understanding of Oil & Gas, refining and petrochemical processes 8+ years of experience
      • Minimum 5 years of experience as process engineer in Engineering company and/or Oil & gas Company, most of which on cryogenic units
      • ABET Certification is a nice-to-have.
      • Mastering modeling tools such as PROII, Hysys, Unisim. Good knowledge of other specific modeling tools is a plus (e.g., HTRI, CFD tools)
      • Familiar with process design of equipment, including vessels, columns, heat exchangers, compressors and pumps
      • A conceptual understanding of chemical engineering principles of heat transfer, vapor-liquid equilibria, mass transfer and thermodynamics, and their general application to process design
      • Familiar with major regulations and industry codes and standards affecting standard design, quality, or processes
      • Relevant experience of originating and checking the deliverables/tasks
      • Excellent knowledge of technical theory, engineering principles, good engineering practices and how to apply them
      • Ability to manage complex studies performed in house or by engineering contractors
      • Fluent in English


      ADDITONAL DETAILS

      This is a long term assignment, may extend beyond current end date, and there is a possibility of conversion to permanent full-time employee.

      100% in office, no hybrid work, travel rarely and video interview.
