- Develop, optimize, and monitor plating processes including electroplating, electroless plating, anodizing, and surface preparation.
- Support daily production operations by troubleshooting process issues, investigating root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure Heat Treat processes are performed in compliance with specifications for NADCAP certification, the BU Heat Treat manual, and customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards related to chemical processing and plating operations.
- Evaluate and qualify new materials, chemicals, and equipment for plating applications.
- Perform chemical analysis and control of plating baths to maintain process consistency.
- Utilize SPC charts and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and control plans.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plating quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.
- Educate operators on plating procedures, creating and revising work instructions and training materials.
- Collaborate with R&D, quality, and manufacturing teams to support new product introductions and process qualifications.
- Participate in and promote all EHS programs and policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy from an accredited institution.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States; verification required at hire. Visa sponsorship is not available.
- Access to export-controlled items, with employment conditioned on lawful access.
- Experience with plating, heat treat, chemical, or metallurgical processes.
- Knowledge of environmental regulatory compliance.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes for fasteners.
