      SUMMARY

      We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement & Scheduling Specialist to manage both the procurement of raw materials and the production scheduling process in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This dual-role position plays a critical part in ensuring the timely delivery of materials and the efficient flow of production through accurate planning and coordination using our ERP system.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

      Procurement Responsibilities:

      • Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures.
      • Source and purchase raw materials, components, and services required for production based on demand forecasts and production schedules.
      • Monitor inventory levels and generate purchase orders to ensure optimal stock without overages.
      • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery reliability.
      • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
      • Collaborate with Quality and Receiving departments to address supplier issues or discrepancies.
      • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records in the ERP system.

      Scheduling Responsibilities:

      • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and material availability.
      • Coordinate with production, engineering, and warehouse teams to ensure schedules are feasible and aligned with capacity and resource constraints.
      • Adjust production schedules as needed due to changes in demand, supply disruptions, or equipment downtime.
      • Maintain master production schedule and update ERP system accordingly.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

      Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience). Lean manufacturing principles and supply chain optimization, regulated or ISO-compliant environment, and technical, detailed engineering drawings
