Work under the supervision of the Supervisor, Procurement Operations to assist with various projects
Contract administration activities (e.g. updating contract records and tracking systems throughout the contract life cycle)
Assist with contract worker onboarding and offboarding at BCI
Prepare reports on procurement and contract activities, as requested
Support the Request for Proposal process, including distributing tender documents, attending meetings, compiling bidding documents, issuing amendments, and scheduling
Provide general administrative services including document preparation, formatting, scanning, data entry, records management, creating and updating charts/diagrams/PowerPoint presentations, and ad-hoc administrative requests
A fundamental knowledge of procurement
Possesses excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset
Demonstrates an eagerness to learn
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy, excellent product quality, and attention to detail
Strong research skills combined with analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to use Microsoft products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
Training and mentorship to develop your knowledge and professional skill sets that are required to succeed in the industry

2 paid days per year for volunteering
Competitive pay: $2,330.00 gross bi-weekly or $2,155.00 gross bi-weekly + vacation leave paid based on 6% of salary ($2,330.00 gross biweekly for those with (or working towards) a graduate degree or joining the Investment Strategy & Risk department and $2,155.00 gross biweekly for those with (or working towards) an undergraduate degree, diploma, or certificate)
Travel: if coming to Victoria for this work term, BCI will provide a fixed-rate travel allowance based on your location
Work term: Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 (September 2025 to April 2026)

Spend your off hours exploring beautiful Victoria and Vancouver Island
All co-ops/internships will need to be completed in person at our Victoria office with the option to work one day per week from home. Please note, some positions are not eligible for hybrid work.

The Finance department is part of BCI Operations and is responsible for investment and corporate accounting, valuations, as well as financial statements and financial reporting to our clients. The team also leads BCI’s budgeting process, tax structuring and tax compliance, finance client engagement, finance operations, procurement, and investment performance and analytics. Working with our internal business partners, auditors and external advisors, the Finance department strives to be a trusted advisor to our internal and external clients by providing timely, accurate, and relevant financial information and analysis.
