      Summary

      Responsible to manage CH's primary supply, purchased services and capital contracts including administration and compliance activities. Develop network of matrixed relationships with customers, suppliers and leadership to ensure successful cooperation, implementation and management of CH’s contracts. Provide leadership, product support and analytical assistance for product standardization efforts. Manages contract data and files in Supply Chain Management Information System (MMIS) and other related databases. Assists in maintaining quality and reliability of MMIS item master.

      Essential Functions

      1. Manage the review, analysis and documentation of over 600 supply, purchased service and capital contracts. Build and maintain of all CH contracts including “owner” notification process.
      2. Develop and maintain ongoing relationship with Group Purchasing Organizations and Regional Purchasing groups. Provide support to contract negotiations, vendor management and Supply Chain process improvement.
      3. Performs financial and contractual analyses for all new products being presented to the Value Analysis Committees. Coordinate with purchasing, internal customers and vendors. Inform purchasing and internal customers of local and GPO contract changes and opportunities. Works with clinical and medical staff concerning the clinical acceptability of products promoting utilization based on clinical outcomes and contract utilization.
      4. Responsible for creating Supply Chain reports, utilizing multiple data repositories. Manipulates and analyzes data for contract and cost saving opportunities.
      5. Lead contract negotiator - constructs, reviews, and negotiates all SCM specific contracts for: pricing agreements, co-sign supply contracts, purchase agreements, capital procurement contracts, equipment service contracts, and purchased services contracts
      6. Develops and manages process to ensure successful product conversion activities in conjunction with the Value Analysis Purchasing, Distribution, and internal customers.
      7. Performs annual SCM vendor evaluations, as part of Organizational compliance.
      8. Manages the SCM Contract Repository and all of the contracts within it.
      9. Performs daily supply analyses to verify the accuracy of any PO price discrepancies (the price on the PO vs. what the vendor acknowledges the price to be).
      10. Coordinates and executes all SCM contracts (reviewing and sending contract versions back and forth between vendor, SC and legal departments).
      11. Hold meetings with key suppliers, CH internal customers and materials department staff to improve processes and reporting tools.
      12. Provides back-up for Value Analysis Manager related to meetings, and Value Analysis functions.
      13. Practice and promote ethical and professional vendor and business relationships. Remain free from any obligations to any or manufacturer.
      14. Conduct self in a professional and consistent manner including treating all vendors, manufacturers, customers, and depart the same respect and caring. Demonstrate consideration for vendors, physician’s and hospital staffs difficulties by showing respect at all times.
      15. Other duties as assigned.

      Position Requirements

      Qualifications

      Required :

      • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
      • 3-5 years experience required with contract analysis, purchasing or related experience.
      • Experience in SCM concepts, i.e. contract negotiation, inventory replenishment and supply distribution alternatives, and financial analysis
      • Experience with Data Analytics Tools (i.e. Excel)

      Desired :

      • Clinical background preferred.
      • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
