Job Description
- Req#: REF22648B
- Sources and procures material and services, negotiate prices, delivery date and other terms in compliance with the project's specifications.
- Selects suppliers based on the approved supplier list or in compliance with sourcing procedure, completes purchase orders ensuring they are clear and complete as per Procurement procedures in effect.
- Monitors / analyzes suppliers’ performance as regards technical specs, quality, price and delivery for updating the register of approved suppliers, searches and recommends alternatives as necessary.
- Coordinates with suppliers, originators and other departments as necessary, all technical and commercial matters e.g. letters of credit, Bank Guarantees, etc. Follows up with shipping and Finance departments to ensure progress and provides feedback to customers on delivery schedules.
- Establishes, maintains good working relations with suppliers and internal customers.
- Sources and evaluates potential suppliers and recommends inclusion in the approved suppliers list as appropriate
- Performs any other duties related to his area of expertise as assigned by the procurement Manager or his designee.
- Ensure the applicable QHSE Policies and standards/requirements/procedures are being applied and maintained
- Liaise with the internal or external interested parties during the QHSE audits/inspections
- Ensure that all the work activities at site/plant/project are controlled with the help of QHSE procedures, risk assessment (or LMRA) & the valid work permit
- Ensure the implementation of customer satisfaction requirements Ensure to report Incidents (near misses, unsafe conditions, unsafe actions & etc.)
- Keep the documented information as evidence ensuring the compliance to QHSE Management System
