      As a Lidl Procurement Governance Contract Consultant, you’ll be responsible for reviewing and drafting procurement contracts. From liaising with the legal department to coordinating with project managers on contract creation and signing, you’ll be the true expert in managing the whole contract process from initiation to expiry. You’ll also give a weekly overview to senior management on contract status and expiration.

      What you'll do

      • Review contracts to ensure that they contribute to the company’s goals and objectives
      • Act as the point of contact for contract management between the Procurement and the Legal departments
      • Ensure the organization's internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained
      • Analyse risks associated with specific contract terms and communicate it to stakeholders, including senior management
      • Challenge and implement changes to the contract templates and existing procedures
      • Supervise the contract management process making sure the databases and tools are up-to-date at all times
      • Create and provide contract reports
      • Liaise with category managers to identify and implement cost saving potential
      • Provide advice and guidance for category managers on contract formulation
      • Work on strategic projects with high level of autonomy and leadership as well as with high level of exposure to Board of Directors within Lidl UK
      • Work with main business stakeholders to identify service optimisation and value improvement opportunities
      • Lead ad-hoc Procurement Governance projects

      What you'll need

      • Experience with contract writing and contract management
      • Demonstrable understanding of legal terminology and contract clauses
      • Experience with contract negotiation
      • Exemplary attention to detail, thoroughness, and analytical skills
      • Comfortable working as part of a multidimensional team, challenging existing processes and implementing change
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Ability to work independently and to tight deadlines
      • Proficient knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
      • Working knowledge of local and international contract laws is desirable
