- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related business field or prior experience in Logistics related negotiations/operations required
- 5 years of experience in steel manufacturing industry preferred
- 5 years of experience with managing personnel preferred
- Ability to gather, analyze and evaluate facts in order to provide concise commercial recommendations to upper management.
- Ability to work with limited direction in a fast paced environment; demonstrating agility and strong work ethic
- Demonstrate ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet critical timelines with limited advance notice or oversight
- Strong understanding of Procurement practices and negotiation strategies/techniques, including the ability to review, interpret and modify commercial terms in an agreement.
- Strong working knowlege of SAP and Microsoft Office applications

- Utilize creative and successful negotiating strategies that will optimise costs and create long-term value for the company; focusing on market opportunities, innovations and partnerships to increase efficiency, savings and effectiveness; while ensuring compliance with established company policies and procedures.
- Develop, execute, and evaluate responses to RFI/RFP/RFQs to deliver strategic, data-driven sourcing recommendations to Procurement upper management and internal business partners.
- Develop long-range purchasing strategies and plans to optimize logistics and supply chain related spend across different categories.
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain consistent follow-up and active communications with Director – General Procurement & Materials Management to review productivity and goal achievement; ensuring departmental objectives are consistent with corporate strategies.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to support development and implementation of supply chain strategies.

Salary Range: $101,900 to $127,400
