Perform detailed analysis of spend and other data to identify savings, define efficiency opportunities, and tactical and strategic initiatives that should be undertaken
Support tactical sourcing of client requirements as assigned
Provide multi-category support as assigned
Assist in executing competitive bid events and other sourcing projects
Assist in the ongoing transformation of IBM Global Procurement
Assist in communicating with and negotiating with suppliers
Analyze changing client/market conditions - gather information for benchmarking
Support client-specific category strategy
Assist with the identification of appropriate potential suppliers to fit clients’ business objectives
Assist with the tracking and reporting of supplier performance and resolution of supplier performance issues
Support periodic key stakeholder meetings with clients to review commodity strategy and activities by preparing materials as assigned
Act in compliance with all relevant IBM business conduct guidelines and client-driven procurement processes
Basic understanding of fundamental business processes
Be curious and challenge the status quo
Think broadly and ask questions about data, facts and other information
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university
- Data, Analytics, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or similar discipline

Our Global Procurement team is seeking highly talented undergraduate-level students with a passion for solving problems through data and analytics within a procurement and supply chain setting to fill internship roles for the summer of 2025. Intern positions are offered in Raleigh, NC (RTP). Further, expand your supply chain management knowledge and build a solid foundation toward a career in Global Procurement with an internship at IBM!

Supplemental 1 employees may be eligible for up to 8 paid holidays, minimum of 56 hours paid sick time and the IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan. IBM offers paid family medical leave and disability benefits to eligible employees where required by applicable law. The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year. This position was posted on the date cited in the key job details section and is anticipated to remain posted for 21 days from this date or less if not needed to fill the role.
