What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee and manage contract life-cycle processes and supplier relationships
- Develop sourcing strategies and conduct evaluations of proposals for medium to high criticality sourcing events
- Participate in procurement project management teams to ensure contract compliance
- Conduct bidder conferences and negotiations, providing recommendations for supplier selection
- Mentor and oversee the work of junior procurement personnel
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in procurement or a similar field
- Ability to work independently, think strategically, and bring issues to management's attention
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with digital document approval platforms is beneficial
- Some travel may be necessary, up to 25%
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree
- 3-7 years of related experience, with a preference for large industrial construction procurement experience
- Experience in multiple industrial market sectors
- Prior experience interfacing with clients and engineering entities
