      The post holder is a key interface between Procurement and our customers, managing the timely processing of requisitions for a range of goods and service that offer 'value for money' utilising electronic tools, ensuring compliance with Organisational standards and relevant legislation.

      We have an excellent opportunity within the Procurement and Supplies team at North Tees and Hartlepool Solutions for the position of Procurement Support Officer.       Main duties of the job

      Undertake lead role in processing of requisitions within the e-purchasing system, with a target to eliminating the requirement for Non Catalogue Items

      Checking the electronic catalogues within the s-purchasing system are up-to-date

      Checking price, as required, by liaising with the appropriate Senior Procurement Officer/Contracts Manager , or by obtaining pricing information directly from the supplier.

      • NVQ Level 2/3 in Procurement or Customer Care
      • Minimum of 5 GCSE's at Grade C or above to include English and Maths

      Desirable

      • NVQ Level 4 in Procurement

      • MS Office software applications

      • Experience of purchasing environment within NHS or other public sector organisation
