The Procurement Talent Development Program is designed to build future procurement professionals and to establish bench strength with broad experiences across several procurement functions. The program is a 18-month rotation with candidates spending approximately four months in each area and two months focused on their final project in one of the core areas.The Procurement Trainee is a key member of the Procurement organization. They will have the opportunity to work on diverse and intellectually stimulating projects within the North America Procurement team. They will interact with external Suppliers to conduct strategic sourcing negotiations based on procurement’s 7 steps sourcing process, maximize total cost of ownership considering the high quality and technical standards, provide overall savings to Bunge business. The program spans across 4 core departments: Capital Expenditure, Corporate and Professional Services, Industrial Services and Information Technology in which their responsibilities will include:
• Leading contract implementation and drive contract compliance for Area categories
• Supplier qualification/development
• Utilization of E-bidding tool to evaluate proposals.
• Executing strategic sourcing processes, leading practices, and creative thinking within the functional category network
• In line with defined procurement strategy, monitoring of supplier’s performance, support the classification and categorization of suppliers, including definition of supplier evaluation and audit policies
• Compliance with business protocols, assessing risks, cost management and leveraging technology to perform procurement functions.Skills/Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university.
• 0-1 year of experience; prior internship experience strongly preferred
• Must be collaborative, results oriented and possess exceptional critical thinking skills
• Exceptional verbal, written and listening communication skills
• Analytical problem-solving skills with a high level of curiosity to learn and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong excel knowledge desirable
• Proficiency in standard PC applications
• Willingness to relocate domestically and/or internationally for future growth opportunities
• Proficiency in other languages beneficial
