- Supports Leadership by providing inputs to and implementing Fraud & Risk Management team (known within Zelis as PINS) initiatives, goals, preventative measures and strategies.
- Meet critical timelines, work independently with minimal oversight, prioritize projects and deliverables, lead assigned initiatives, and execute on Program strategy.
- Sustain program roadmaps, develop schedules to ensure timely completion of various business/risk projects of a moderately complex nature.
- Occasionally perform data analysis to understand our Fraud & Abuse domain.
- Forms and supports recommendations to business partners to optimize process/system(s).A strong sense of accountability and the ability to while working collaboratively across multiple departments supporting projects and initiatives driven by adjacent teams (e.g., Product, IT, Payment Operations, Legal) to enhance fraud prevention processes
- Ability to influence others as well as being able to communicate effectively to all stakeholders involved in fraud and suspicious activity events including Legal, Compliance, IT, and effected parties (outside stakeholders)
- Prepare tasks with clear and complete business requirements, involving business and IT to establish a viable marriage of requirements and technical solution
- Assist IT in the refinement of technical requirements, minimizing them to the most efficient set of changes that still meets the needs of the business
- Become familiar with all standardized project processes, and contribute input to the development of new ones.
- Assist in building documentation and training for new or modified features.
- Effective verbal and written communication, with experience presenting findings to leadership teams and maintaining composure in high stakes situations
- Sensitivity to confidentiality, demonstrated ability to adhere to Zelis Payments standards regarding privacy
- Passion for delivering products end-to-end, from ideation through implementation and A/B testing, while being empathetic with cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and concern for impact is essential
- Excellent relationship management, interpersonal and communication skills; able to lead transparently in a team/project environment
- Must work well with othersH
- Comfort working with database and visualization tools such as SSMS, LINQ, Tableau and/or Power BI is a plus
- Experience in the payments industry a plus
- Familiarity with Atlassian – Jira Software (Jira), Jira Service Management (JSM), Confluence, etc. a plus
- Experience in anti-Fraud, anti-Abuse, Trust & Safety, or Risk is a plus
- A working understanding of fraud vectors, both small scale (client side hacks) and large scale (botnets) is a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3+ years equivalent work experience
- Successful operational or project management experience a plus
- Experience with security or fraud mitigation a plus
Working in close coordination with the Zelis Payments’ Fraud, Risk Management, and Identity Verification organization (known within Zelis as PINS); this individual will be responsible for managing product changes with a focus on those related to network security.
This individual will cultvate a deep understanding of our core product as well as industry best practices around security and fraud prevetion; addressing problems related to account takeover, business identification, bank account validation and more; both with internally developed software and 3rd party Fraud, KYB, Banking Aggregation Vendors and to support building out analysis tools, rule engine integrations, and implement stronger controls to improve our security posture against Fraud.
The person in this role will have an opportunity to enhance efficiency and performance of a broad suite of fraud, business, and banking related services.
