      Position: Product Designer (Hard Goods)

      FSLA Status: Full-time/Exempt

      Location: Newport Beach, CA

      Travel: Up to 10% of domestic travel

      Pay Rate: $70,000- $95,000

      Scope of the Role

      The Product Designer plays a key role in providing innovative product designs and enhancing existing product lines that bridge functionality with aesthetic appeal. This role collaborates closely with the Product Development team to shape and execute the vision for BCP's new products, prioritizing market trends and user satisfaction. The ideal candidate will combine exceptional creativity with technical expertise, delivering impactful design solutions using advanced creative software.

      Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities

      Collaborate with Product Developers to prepare designs based on market needs.

      Balance aesthetics, functionality, and cost-effectiveness to create products that are both appealing and practical.

      Revise and enhance designs based on development feedback.

      Translate concepts into production-ready designs by preparing technical drawings, specifications and documentation.

      Develop detailed 2D/3D models using Adobe Creative Suite, with a preference for 3D modeling and rendering in SolidWorks.

      Manage key design project milestones, ensuring alignment with product requirements, timelines, and deliverables.

      Collaborate with overseas teams and vendors to clearly communicate product design intent, resolve production feasibility issues, and explore cost-effective solutions to potential challenges.

      Understand high level requirements for compliance, regulatory, and other standards.

      Monitor the eCommerce landscape to identify emerging product trends and competitor launches, driving innovation and quality enhancements.

      Work closely with your manager to refine new product ideas, maximizing the success of upcoming launches.

      Travel up to 10% to attend trade shows and visit overseas offices, gaining insights to create exceptional products.

      Perform other duties as assigned

      Qualifications & Required Experience

      Bachelor's Degree Required; comparable work experience may be substituted to meet educational requirements.

      3-5 years' experience designing successful hardline product lines.

      Proficient In Photoshop And Illustrator. SolidWorks Experience Preferred.

      Design Portfolio to present past work and successful projects that demonstrate expertise in design, innovation, and problem-solving.

      Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, marketers, and manufacturers.

      A love of retail and great commercial awareness.

      Excellent research and data analysis skills

      Presentation skills and the ability to explain data clearly.

      The ability to use database and spreadsheet software. (Microsoft Office Suite)

      Strong decision-making skills.

      Ability to identify and offer effective solutions to problems.

      Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and cope under pressure.

      Excellent organizational and communication skills.
