      • Prepare manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs).
      • Maintain project drawing files, associated records, and documentation as per company policy.

      Essential Skills

      • Mechanical design experience with steel and structural components.
      • Proficiency in 3D design software such as Inventor and AutoCAD.

      • Experience with clean sheet design, even if obtained through academic projects.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Understanding of steel manufacturing processes such as welding, fabrication, forming, and drilling.
      • Project management skills including the ability to handle projects, meet deadlines, communicate changes, and take ownership.
      • Mechanical aptitude to recognize design changes that require further review.

      Work Environment

The role is based in a quiet office or cubicle environment shared with 8 other designers, fostering collaboration and idea exchange. The atmosphere is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring flexibility and adaptability to switch between projects quickly. As you gain experience, there will be opportunities to move into an office setting and engage in more research and development work. The team values a supportive environment where designers are encouraged to propose solutions and are well-supported by management.
