      The position

      As our Product Director for a Development wide digital programme, named DataCore, you will set clear direction for the development of a central data repository covering clinical and operational data modalities. The DataCore programme is a transformative programme and visioned to enable a scalable seamless data flow and state of the art data governance.

      You will be responsible for product vision, roadmap, and for building and prioritising the overall program backlog in close collaboration with the business, the product teams, and the users. On top you secure close alignment on priorities and dependencies across digital products that are dependent on the solution that optimise processes across our value chain ultimately enabling new medicines to patients.

      Your responsibilities:

      • Identify and shape the strategic focus for individual products and product teams.
      • Support discovery processes across DataCore, enable new ways of running clinical trials and developing integrated health solutions.
      • Aligning with stakeholders across business areas, finance, and IT, to ensure end-to-end thinking that optimises the Novo Nordisk value chain enabling high quality inputs and new insights.
      • Build a culture within the team, characterised by curiosity, passion, openness, and psychological safety.

      The role will be based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

      Qualifications

      To be a successful Product Director, you also have the following:

      • A University degree within science, engineering and/or business, and have significant experience in digital process design and/or digital product management.
      • A strong understanding of digital product development and the linkage between discovery, testing, and development
      • Proven creative informal leadership experience of driving changes in a cross-functional, multi-cultural and cross-geographical environment. You inspire passion, and encourage a feeling of ownership in people you work with
      • Ability to think ahead and set strategic direction and can turn strategic priorities into tangible direction for the product teams
      • Be the bridge between business and technical implementation – to ensure value drops along the journey
      • Experience with clinical data and analytics is an advantage, but not a requirement
      • Can set clear direction, prioritise, and communicate a compelling purpose and vision with passion and urgency on all levels of the organisation.

      In Novo Nordisk, our purpose is to drive change to defeat diabetes and other serious chronic diseases by providing the best sustainable solutions and products. To identify the right solutions for tomorrow, we need to digitalize the way we do development.
      Data Science is an area within Development, responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide, from early development phases to product introduction and life cycle management. In Data Science our focus is to deliver data and data insights through advanced analytics to support new drug submission. We provide insights to fact-based decisions on new drugs and indications for Novo Nordisk product portfolio, which make a difference for the patients.

      In Data Science Strategic & Digital Development, we coordinate strategy and operations across the Data Science organisation. We support the Data Science Leadership Team in setting the scene, the goals and follow-up on deliverables. This leads the planning and designing of the Data Science strategy, and we drive and oversee implementation. We collaborate and liaise intensively with other areas both within Development and across Novo Nordisk.
