- Supports product development from product prototyping, development, deployment/product release, and initial supplier support.
- Present analysis and support technical recommendations clearly and concisely.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide the development of suppliers, manufacturing of products, resolve manufacturing issues, and improve supplier quality.
- On-site support of suppliers to qualify manufacturing processes, audit supplier quality systems. Ensure ERP and MES systems are robust and have effective control of manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a high degree of supplier face to face engagement and international travel to supplier sites to resolve product and supplier issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of experience.
- Experience in quality management, auditing, 8D methodology, continuous improvement, 6S.
- Experience in supplier qualification and development
- Experience in various manufacturing processes needed to fabricate parts/assemblies in various environments, such as cleanrooms.
- Creative thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Exceptional clear communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time.
- Prior supplier quality management experience is beneficial.
- Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.
- Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
