      In this role, you will be part of the Se rvice Engineering group. We work with internal and external customers to increase productivity via software solutions. We are technical owners for a portfolio of products that enhance productivity. We are hiring for a someone to join our team to work with extending our AutoPM automation platform to Etch Tools. This new hire will work on developing AutoPM to function on new tools and roll them out to the field. You will be working with software developers, tools owners, and field personal to create a solution for Lam and it’s customers.

      What You’ll Do

      • A Product Engineer will manage and carry out projects for product development/improvement, product quality, and customer support.

      • Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, assuring proper release and hand-off of solutions
      • Acquire and apply basic engineering theories, methods and research techniques in the investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical problems
      • Design and conduct experiments and tests pertaining to the resolution to complex technical problems
      • Generate clear and concise reports to justify your technical recommendations
      • Act as liaison for cross functional projects across organizations
      • Implement industry standard process control techniques such as six sigma/lean manufacturing and value stream mapping to manage and develop production efficiencies

      Who We’re Looking For

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent work experience
      • Familiar with Semiconductor Tool Operations
      • Creative thinking, strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities
      • Ability to complete projects and learn the required skills with minimal guidance
      • Comfortable with using multiple software products and able to troubleshoot computer issue (ability to program, script, administer networks would be plus)
      • Previous experience in individual project management

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Ideal Candidate will have a background in Etch based tools and have experience running the platform.
      • Experience with AutoPM would also be a plus.

      Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

      Salary

      CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $98,000.00 - $216,000.00.

      The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
