- Time Commitment: 40 hours per week

News Production Strategy: The News Group Newsroom Product Team responsibilities include; App leadership and direction for News Group tools, building creative technology and App solutions, driving innovation and reinvention of news technologies and workflows, executing on strategic projects and financial initiatives, continually exploring emerging technologies, performing competitive benchmarking and future-proofing the News Group. The team is comprised of product managers, program/project managers and a dev team. Our intern will have exposure to the entire product portfolio, which includes AI/ML initiatives, newsroom systems, scheduling software and more.
Product Management, Data & Legal Solutions: This position will be a part of the Privacy Product team which rolls up to Data & Legal Solutions (DLS). The DLS team partners with all NBCU businesses and delivers exceptional data-driven data solutions; our goal is to enhance our company's competitive advantage in the dynamic media landscape, while managing risk and protecting the Business. Privacy Product is a key vertical that supports the consumer data regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions and an ever-evolving regulatory environment. We are currently a team of 10 people comprised of Product Managers, Product Owners, Analysts and Technical Leads who partner closely with Privacy & Legal Operations, Tech Strategy, External Vendors and Business Teams to deliver regulatory compliant product features and updates. Our day-to-day includes managing a very demanding and tight turnaround delivery Product Roadmap, maintaining the ongoing Product and ensuring all 2k+ business users have a good user experience that supports business objectives and meets regulatory compliance.
- Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program.
- Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
- Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
- Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Some knowledge of the software development lifecycle and agile is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, specifically with Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
- Previous technical, data, or product work experience would be great.

Here at NBCU, we strive to be on the forefront of leading-edge technology and are seeking a savvy troop of technologists we call Media Tech Interns.
Our program exposes students to technical opportunities across NBCUniversal’s Operations & Technology organizations and serves as a main pipeline into our Rotational Associate Programs. As a NBCUniversal Media Tech Intern, you will gain hands-on experience, allowing you to apply your classroom knowledge to practical situations. We offer a 2 day in-person orientation in our NY office where we bring all interns together to meet each other and various business leaders.
Students will experience firsthand how one of the largest media and entertainment companies in the world operates and delivers strategic, innovative solutions.
