Job Description
- Req#: 1841
- Own the product roadmap for automation and AI solutions spanning intake, triage, underwriting, quoting, and policy ops across programs.
- Translate business needs from underwriting, actuarial, and operations into structured product requirements.
- Partner closely with engineering teams, vendor partners, and internal business units to deliver MVPs and iterate quickly.
- Drive adoption and scale of intelligent workflows that replace manual processes with AI agents and traditional automation.
- Lead cross-functional delivery from ideation through testing, feedback, and production rollout.
- Establish success metrics and track business impact (e.g., speed-to-quote, triage accuracy, loss ratio improvements).
- Maintain a strong understanding of regulatory, underwriting, and specialty program constraints and how they impact product design.
- Protect Novacore’s proprietary logic and workflows from vendor lock-in and ensure long-term IP ownership.
- 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in B2B SaaS, enterprise automation, or insurance technology.
- Strong understanding of the insurance or MGA space — especially specialty lines, underwriting workflows, and E&S operations.
- Demonstrated ability to build products with AI, automation, and API-first architectures.
- Hands-on experience delivering data-intensive or AI/ML-powered products (LLMs, NLP, document processing, or agentic platforms).
- Exceptional communication skills — able to work directly with engineers, underwriters, and external partners.
- Proven ability to manage complexity, prioritize ruthlessly, and ship valuable solutions quickly.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at turning fuzzy workflows into structured product features.
- Experience with GenAI and automation platforms (e.g., OpenAI Agent SDK, CrewAI, LangChain, n8n).
- Familiarity with agent orchestration, document intelligence, and intelligent intake pipelines.
- Exposure to Eurobase, Insurity, Vertafore, Salesforce, or modern insurance core systems is a plus.
Overview
At Novacore, we’re entering an exciting new chapter. Novacore is the newly formed specialty insurance entity created from the April 2025 sale of NSM Insurance Group’s U.S. commercial division. While we carry forward a 35-year legacy of deep industry expertise, we’re transforming what commercial insurance can be. The name Novacore reflects our ambition — nova for new and brilliant, core for strength and purpose. We’re building something bold and meaningful, and every team member plays a vital role in that mission.
Novacore is a leading specialty insurer and MGA platform backed by New Mountain Capital. We are transforming underwriting and risk selection with proprietary data, differentiated AI capabilities, and a modern technology stack built for scale. At the heart of this transformation is our mission to build agentic and automation-first solutions that unlock speed, insight, and operational leverage across the entire specialty value chain.
We are hiring a sharp, execution-focused Product Manager to lead the development of AI-enabled, agentic, and traditional automation solutions across our MSA value chain. You will work across underwriting, operations, and technology teams to define and deliver products that automate manual workflows, orchestrate decisioning through LLM-powered agents, and scale our differentiated underwriting capabilities.
This is a highly strategic and hands-on role, ideal for a product leader who thrives at the intersection of insurance operations and AI.
**This role is a hybrid situation at our Conshohocken, PA Home Office.**
