      JOB SUMMARY:

      The Product Manager develops, executes and manages customer research, competitive analysis, business cases and product portfolios helping drive the development and execution of divisional strategy through products and services.

      ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:

      • Assists in development and execution of divisional strategic plan
      • Directly responsible for all forms of customer research and customer value confirmation (qualitative, quantitative, primary, secondary, online surveys, in-depth interviews, focus groups, pricing analysis, conjoint analysis and etc.)
      • Participates in immersive/observational research within clinical settings to develop clinical insight
      • Gathers, manages and evaluates concepts, ideas and suggestions for new products and services from research, trade shows, customers, competition, channel partners, key opinion leaders and teammates
      • Analyzes, translates and presents research information and recommends through business cases new products and services
      • Creates product portfolio roadmap to provide visibility to future product concepts and technology needs
      • Works with a broad team of development resources including industrial design, engineering, and user experience specialists to define and validate concepts that satisfy unmet customer needs.
      • Directly responsible for voice of the customer and product differentiation through the various phases of development cycle. Communicates with various functional leads during development cycle
      • Collaborates with finance on new projects to develop financial models to determine if project meets return-on-investment guidelines
      • Collaborates with product development or Agile Scrum teams in balancing tradeoffs between customer needs, technical risks, scope, product cost and development timelines
      • Partners with corporate development to assess potential partnerships or acquisitions and participates on due diligence and integration teams
      • Supports CCO, VP of Marketing and Director of Upstream Marketing with development and delivery of presentation materials

      EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a business or technical field
      • Preferably an MBA
      • 3 to 6 years of related experience or equivalent combination of experience and education

      • Ability ot conduct, prioritize and synthesize customer research
      • Able to be a strong advocate of customer through development process
      • Ability to work with and motivate cross-functional teams
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Ability to present formal presentations
      • Ability to develop and analyze financial models
      • Demonstrated leadership skills
      • Demonstrated ability to identify and realize new opportunities
      • Clinical insight is desirable
      • Technical competency is desirable

      SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • May have supervisor responsibilities
