      Job Summary:

      This Product Manager will support the one or more enterprise applications across their full lifecycle, including ongoing maintenance, enhancement and new product development. This role services as a key interface between business users and technology teams, helping ensure digital products effectively meet organizational goals and user needs. This role is responsible for triaging support tickets, managing user access and configuration, refining backlogs, and supporting bug and enhancement prioritization for systems in production. In addition, the role will support discovery and planning for new or evolving products, often working under the guidance of a senior or lead product manager. The successful candidate brings a combination of business analysis skills, product ownership experience, and the ability to operate within an Agile environment.

      Key Responsibilities & Duties:

      • Collaborate with business stakeholders to interview, collect, analyze and manage system and business user requirements.
      • Translate business needs into clear, actionable and testable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
      • Document workflows, process flows, data requirements, integration needs and other technical dependencies.
      • Participate in agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning and sprint reviews
      • Collaborate with a lead or senior product manager during early-stage discovery for new products and features, including business case support, scoping and stakeholder alignment
      • Support prioritization and backlog grooming activities
      • Facilitate level of effort exercises (e.g., t-shirt sizing and story point assignment) and regularly assess product backlog with technical teams
      • Create process models, specifications, wireframes, and other artifacts to guide implementation and clarify requirements that provide direction to developers/configurators
      • Contribute to test case generation/review, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and product acceptance standards are met
      • Support in-production systems by managing routine configuration updates, permission and access requests, and administrative tasks
      • Triage support tickets and enhancement requests in collaboration with technical and business teams
      • Maintain system backlogs and provide recommendations for prioritization based on user feedback and business value
      • Assist with training and onboarding of end users for new or updated product functionality
      • Contribute to internal documentation, including user guides, process maps, playbooks and knowledge base articles as necessary
      • Support UX discovery activities such as journey mapping, wireframing or usability feedback sessions, if skilled in that area
      • Build and strengthen relationships internally between IT and the business partners to ensure alignment and satisfaction
      • Other duties as assigned or requested

      Education and Experience Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum three years of related work experience
      • Product Management Certification (PMC) or equivalent preferred

      Must Have:

      • The ability to effectively manage a portion of the ICANN product lifecycle for a broader suite of products
      • Must work with E&IT senior management and function middle management
      • Ability to effectively facilitate meetings
      • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, vendors and the public are required
      • Must be a team-oriented person
      • A strong understanding of outsourcing environment, computer systems management, business principles, systems improvement and project management
      • Demonstrated ability to manage or support portions of the product lifecycle across enterprise systems
      • Experience working closely with technical teams, stakeholders, and senior product leaders
      • Experience supporting production systems through configuration, permissions management, and support ticket triage
      • Proven ability to write clear, actionable user stories and technical documentation
      • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
      • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban)
      • Proficiency with tools such as JIRA and Confluence
      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
      • High level of ownership, initiative, and attention to detail
      • Able to work from the office, and able to travel up to 10%
      • Ability to work in a small team, with minimal supervision
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
      • Familiarity with project management tools (JIRA and Confluence) a plus

      Nice to Have:

      • Background knowledge about ICANN & the Internet ecosystem
      • Basic understanding of front-end/back-end technologies and web/mobile software development lifecycle
      • Scrum Master Certification
      • Foundational UX skills, including journey mapping, wireframing, or usability research experience
      • Experience using design tools such as Figma, Balsamiq, or similar
      • Experience contributing to user-centered design discussions and aligning features to user needs

      Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

      • International travel may be required to support ICANN related meetings as requested for lengths of 7-10 days for each trip, approximately three times per year, likely on different continents
      • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed

      • Ability to travel without restrictions globally, frequently with limited notice is required
      • Comfort level with an international work environment that requires availability at times outside normal business hours, seven days per week
      • Work is performed in a normal office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise
      • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee regularly is required to sit. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear; use hands and arms to reach, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
