- Collaborate with various stakeholders as well as the entire RWE Group to identify technological weaknesses and develop innovative solutions to improve RWE's long-term competitiveness
- Collaborate with (design) engineering teams to standardise the integration of system components into solutions for RWE projects
- Interact and collaborate with technology providers to improve the existing product portfolio and to expand this portfolio with innovative solutions
- Supporting the development and maintenance of a harmonised short, medium and long term product and innovation roadmap aligned with business objectives and timelines
- Synthesise market and technical information across geographies, applications and technology capabilities to develop product requirements and specifications
- Collaborate with the procurement team to manage the supplier process, including initial procurement of suppliers and RFPs/RFIs
- Develop selection and review criteria for potential suppliers and their technologies, including racks, battery containers and inverters
- Maintain a close working relationship with OEMs to ensure that the latest product offerings and project design innovations are captured, as well as enhancing the product lifecycle management process
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or comparable
- At least 3 years of professional experience with energy storage technologies or related technologies such as PV
- Proven knowledge of batteries and energy storage certifications and standards
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Business fluent in German and English
- Work in an international and dynamic environment with close team cohesion

Your future plans
As Product Manager (m/f/d) Battery Storage Systems, you will be the subject matter expert for the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), including battery systems, power electronics and the definition of interfaces to the system balance and control. You will drive the technical assessment of technologies and propose and lead the development of innovative BESS improvements in collaboration with your team leader and relevant stakeholders. You will also support the development and maintenance of the product and innovation roadmap, advise designers on the selection of the right technology and support procurement activities.
