      What you'll do


      As a Product Manager, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and bringing to market products that our customers love and our channel partners value. You are a strategic thinker with deep insights into customer needs, market trends, and emerging technologies. Your mission is to identify and solve the right problems, guiding the product development process from concept to launch while ensuring alignment with business objectives and partner requirements.


      Key responsibilities


      Create Products that End Users Love

      User Insights: Become an expert on our targeted end users, deeply understanding their pain points and how our products can solve them.

      Technology Discovery: Stay ahead of technological advancements, identifying new technologies that can be leveraged to address customer needs.

      Market Insights: Continuously monitor competitors and market entrants, identifying opportunities for differentiation and confirming market demand.

      Problem Identification: Accurately identify the most critical problems to solve, ensuring our product development efforts are focused on the highest impact areas.

      Concept Ideation: Generate a high volume of innovative product concepts that align with user needs and business goals.

      Prototyping & Experimentation: Rapidly test and validate concepts, ensuring they are compelling enough to drive customer adoption.


      Be Strategic for Our Channel Partners

      Category Partnership: Develop and execute a clear plan to position Feit Electric as a strategic partner for our channel partners within your category.

      Product Launch: Communicate our product vision and plans effectively to the sales team and channel partners, ensuring alignment and enthusiasm. Launch products to meet our committed dates.

      Merchandising & Packaging: Ensure that product packaging and merchandising resonate with our target end-users and meet the needs of our channel partners.

      Partner Collaboration: Engage regularly with channel partners, incorporating their insights and needs into product and merchandising strategies.


      Ensure Products Work for the Business

      Product Vision: Articulate a compelling product vision that aligns with the company's overall goals and positions us as a leader in the market.

      Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and quality, to ensure cohesive and successful product development.

      Business Acumen & Financials: Manage product financials, including tracking, negotiating, and building a category that drives business success.

      Manufacturing Partner Development: Identify and cultivate strategic, high-performance manufacturing partners to ensure product quality and efficiency.

      Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee SKU management within your portfolio, maintaining a healthy and profitable category.

      Product Manager Standard Activities


      Store Visits: Conduct at least one store visit per week to observe product placement, gather insights, and understand customer interactions.

      Online Discovery: Spend time weekly researching competitors, technology advancements, imports, customer reviews, and customer service insights.

      End User Interviews: Engage with end users weekly to gain firsthand insights into their needs and challenges.

      Sales Collaboration: Collaborate with the sales team weekly to ensure alignment on product positioning and market strategy.

      Factory Partnerships: Maintain regular contact with manufacturing partners to ensure product quality and efficient production.

      Product Introductions: Launch products on-time, on-spec, and on-budget.

      Other duties may be assigned.


      What you'll need


      Education: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

      Experience: A minimum of 3 years of product management experience, with a proven track record of delivering successful lighting, consumer electronics, or equivalent products.

      Expertise: Deep knowledge of product management principles, particularly those focused on customer-centric development. Solid understanding of the technology enabling your category.

      Leadership: Strong leadership and team collaboration skills, with experience guiding cross-functional teams towards successful outcomes.

      Analytical Skills: Robust analytical capabilities, with a focus on market research, competitive analysis, and data-driven decision-making.

      Communication: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.

      Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards applicable to consumer electronics and lighting products is a plus.

      Pay Data: Salary Range $90,000.00 to $130,000.00 annual salary (exempt)
