- Commercial Leadership:
- Provide commercial leadership that supports operational excellence and improves customer experience.
- Translate customer needs and market insights into clear priorities for operations, ensuring alignment with the Prestolite business strategy.
- Develop and maintain accurate product forecasts, working closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams.
- Voice of Customer:
- Serve as the internal voice of the customer, advocating for their needs and ensuring they are considered in all product-related decisions.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback through various channels to identify areas for improvement and new product opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to enhance and automate customer contacts, improving efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Product Strategy & Portfolio Management:
- Lead the product strategy and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop the Prestolite Equipment Product Portfolio, focusing on new product growth, simplification and profitability.
- Define product roadmaps and prioritize product features based on customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Lead the customer discovery process for identifying new product opportunities to support the development of new product and technology roadmaps - using the New Product Blueprinting toolkit.
- Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, including sales, revenue, and customer feedback, to inform product strategy and improvements.
- New Product Development & Launch:
- Provide program management for the product development toll gate processes, by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and operations, to bring new products to market on time for the next 3-5 years.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence:
- Maintain a deep understanding of the industry, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Liaison between sales, engineering, and operations to coordinate troubleshooting responses to customer problems, product issues, new opportunities, or solution proposals.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field
- 6-8 years of experience in the lift truck battery charger business or electrical equipment industry is preferred
- Experience in new product launches, developing product strategy, and driving sales growth of new products
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform product decisions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Job Summary:
AMETEK Solidstate Controls is seeking a skilled and experienced Product Manager for the Prestolite Business. The Product Manager will provide commercial leadership for our operations that results in improved customer experience and growth. This role will strategically establish and manage the Prestolite portfolio through New Product Development, Growth and Profitability efforts, and future product roadmaps and simplification. The ideal candidate will identify market needs, create product roadmaps, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and execute product plans to meet company goals.
**Candidate must be based out of Columbus, Ohio.
